About the author of the book
The legend of Najmabadi, a prominent Iranian-American theorist and historian, is one of the leading figures in Iranian gender studies and social history. Born in year 6, after studying physics, he changed his path to sociology and women’s studies and reached a doctorate at the University of Manchester. Najmabadi has taught history and gender studies for more than two decades at prestigious universities around the world, including Harvard. One of her most important writings is to refer to “Cibrus women and men” and “hidden family currents”. In these books, with a new perspective, he examines changes in gender, love and family in modern Iranian history. Najmabadi has opened new horizons in historiography with his innovative research.
