The 16th charity project of Snap Club with the title “equipment of libraries of schools in underprivileged areas” has ended. In this project, SNAP, in cooperation with “Mehrgiti” NGO, equipped 10 libraries in schools in 5 provinces of the country.
According to Snap Public Relations, this plan was implemented with the aim of creating equal opportunities for children and teenagers across the country to access appropriate cultural and educational infrastructure. In the project of equipping school libraries, 10 libraries were equipped and set up in low-income villages in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchistan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Tehran, South Khorasan and North Khorasan.
How to implement the plan
In this project, bookshelves, tables and chairs were prepared for libraries and more than 5 thousand non-curricular books were donated to these libraries based on the needs of different educational levels.
The Mehrgiti People’s Organization Institute selected a number of schools from among the schools that had declared the need for library equipment by assessing the needs of education in different provinces. Snap also attracted the participation of its users to equip and set up these libraries by introducing the “Seal to book” campaign. With the start of this campaign, users could participate in this project without paying any fees by donating their points in the charity section of the club. 4 thousand Tomans was allocated for the implementation of this project with each time of user participation. This project ended with 200,000 users’ participation and donation of 800 million tomans to equip the library of schools in underprivileged areas.
